Jazz On The Park Youth Hostel New York

I had a positive experience staying at this hotel, especially compared to my previous stays in New York. the staff, especially Umar Rajput, did an excellent job in organizing events and keeping the atmosphere upbeat. the location was great, just a short subway ride to the city center and a few minutes' walk to Central Park in a quiet neighborhood. the price for a night in a 2-bed room was relatively low. There was a nice area to sit around and meet other people in the hostel.

One thing that could be improved is the breakfast situation. the hotel did not provide breakfast or have anywhere to store or make food, which was a downside.

The attention of the staff, all very friendly and helpful, near train stations, the very nice and cozy area, near shopping area.

A couple of times I felt like I smelled marijuana inside the same hostel.

Awesome location near Central Park and subway stations, cool staff. Enjoyed chilling in the common room and patio for some fresh air. Only bummer was a bit of a mix-up with my reservation, but the friendly reception team handled it well.👍

we had to change the planned accommodation at short notice. very next day the hostel had a room available for 6 nights and also made it possible for us to stay together in a two-bed room! super! beds were very comfortable and room equipment was absolutely sufficient!

towels were unfortunately never changed during the 6 nights. toilet paper was also often missing.

The location of Jazz On The Park Youth Hostel is the highlight! Despite some cleanliness issues, the staff was helpful and accommodating, making my stay with my daughter manageable. The nearby landmarks like Central Park and The Met Museum allowed for great family bonding experiences, complementing the basic yet functional amenities at the hostel. a decent budget option in a prime location for exploring New York City.

stayed at Jazz On the Park Youth for the first time and it was a good experience. located near National Park, shops, subway station, and Bank of America. the private room with bunk beds was comfortable and convenient. friendly staff and early check-in. nice outdoor seating area by Central Park.

Nothing not too like 😞

rooms were relatively sauner and beds were comfortable for a hostel. there was air conditioning in the room and after checking out you can leave your suitcase there for free for the rest of the day.

there is no elevator and until i had my luggage on the 5th floor, i was soaking wet. furthermore there is no w-lan in the rooms, so that you have to go down to the lobby for every e-mail or if you want to google something (extra annoying if you live in the upper floors). cleanliness of the showers and washbasins also left a lot to be desired.

The location was fabulous.

The cleanliness, the interminable floors (I was on the 5th floor), no wifi on floors 4 and 5... If you are a single traveller I recommend it to you except if you want luxury but for a trip with several people I do not recommend it to you.

One of the best surprises during my stay was the funky coffee bar at the hostel. It was a vibrant and cozy spot to start my mornings, offering a delightful array of coffee options that perked me up for a day of exploring the city.

Had a blast at this spot, near cool museums and tasty food trucks. Joined a funky group for a pub crawl and hopped on Citi bikes. The design inside is artsy with a hint of drama. Scored free breakfast and walked to iconic landmarks. Met rad folks and chilled to 80's tunes. Good times, guarantee you'll dig it here. Gotta love NYC vibes! Cheers!

The staff were chill and made us feel welcome. The location was sick - right by Central Park and close to a subway station. After a solid night's sleep at the hostel, we used the Citi bikes to cruise around Manhattan and hit up all the major attractions. It was rad!

It would've been even better if they had a cool hangout area for young party-goers like us.

in relation to the price you paid, accommodation was excellent. for the price one pays here, one should not expect more than one sleeping place in a dormitory and a common bathroom. one should not forget that in new york one is in manhattan. where the prices per square meter are very high,

everything can be criticized. quality of the accommodation, smell in the accommodation, bathroom, mugs. all i cared about was having a cheap bed and being able to brush my teeth. that was all i wanted.

the location was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. the price for the location was decent and the overall experience was good. the hostel provided a perfect environment to meet new people every day. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop terrace with a view of the Empire State building and the residents' fridge was a nice touch.

Location is great, everything you need in one room. Great accessibility and service! Three front desk women were very nice and helpful. Glad the computer and printer worked, it matters. There are spaces to eat. When I was here for one night, it was very calm except maybe some noise of the door during the morning, but apart from that, it was good.

The location of the hostel is definitely a plus. Near the subway line. Close to shops and pubs.

Not enough toilets. You have to go out into the hallway and walk between the floors. You have to change your hand washing products. The ones that are now, they irritate the skin.

The location of this hostel was really convenient. It was close to many restaurants and shops, making it easy to find something to eat or grab any necessities. The location. Comfortable bed. It is warm in the rooms, which is very pleasant after a cold day.

No cooking. Sanitary facilities very dirty: hair and suspicious stains on the walls of the showers which have been stuck for 10 days. Guys who are not part of the hostel who squat in the common room drinking alcohol and sleep there in the middle of the day snoring.

Located in a prime area right next to Central Park, visitors can enjoy breathtaking scenery and access two metro lines within a 10-minute walk. After a good night's sleep at Jazz on Columbus Circle, we were ready to have an adventure off to places like New York City. The hostel is conveniently located to all major attractions, making it easy for us to explore the city with our kids. The ground floor living room had a marvellous atmosphere, with good music from the 1980s and 90s, creating a lively environment for families. The lockers, though on the smaller side, served their purpose well, providing a secure place for our belongings.

In my wife's opinion, the hostel could do with improved kitchen facilities, especially for families with children.
